Roll Through The Ages - The Bronze Age
2009 Best Family Game (Games Magzine USA). Civilization games have always been popular, which is a theme all these winners share. They have a bit of everything that makes games so compelling. Resource management, technology, trade, politics, strategy, and conflict, but ultimately it's all about building- starting from a settlement or village and creating an empire. Roll Through the Ages takes all these elements of a civilization game and puts them in a game which only lasts 45 minutes. A remarkable effort, and deserving of Games Magazine's Best Family Game award. It is designed by Matt Leacock, who also designed Pandemic, last year's family game winner.
